Blinq - A Place To Connect

Blinq, the leading digital business card platform, has built its global identity centred on connection - and its Melbourne office reflects that perfectly. Designed by Concept, the workplace is created to support interaction in a way that feels intentional, creative and distinctly characterful.

Beyond its aesthetic, Blinq is a fast-scaling Australian tech company with global momentum. Concept was tasked with creating a workplace that could evolve alongside this growth. An open plan layout underpins this approach, supported by flexible planning that allows the team to adapt over time.

The layout remains largely open, broken up by distinct zones defined through unique furniture items and intentional use. This variety within a larger footprint creates the conditions for social interaction to emerge very organically.

There’s also a subtle nod to the legacy of 1970s New York industrial interiors - where openness and rawness became a backdrop for creative exchange. Here, that language is reinterpreted through a more refined, contemporary lens.

Occupying the top level of 321 Exhibition Street, the office is framed by expansive views of the Melbourne skyline. Large windows bring in consistent daylight from all sides, reinforcing the openness of the plan.

At its centre, a communal hub anchors the workplace, with a kitchen, café-style benches, and tiered seating designed for larger events and informal gatherings.

The primary workspace, arranged in rows of desks, acts as a focused zone. Its intensity is softened by casual seating areas at either end, where plush sofas offer an invitation to step away and relax.

Meeting rooms are energised and distinguished by bold colour palettes of yellow and pink.

Quiet booths, used as spatial dividers, offer privacy whilst maintaining visual connectivity with the surrounding workflow. Smaller seating nooks scattered throughout the workspace, punctuated with greenery, provide moments of intimacy and comfort.

Concept has delivered a workplace that supports the very idea at the core of Blinq’s product - connection. It’s a space that prioritises interaction and is designed intentionally to evolve alongside the company.
